Did you know you can turn one tomato plant into dozens? This simple trick can save you money and keep your garden full all season long.
It’s Easy.
It’s Simple.
Let’s do it.
🍅 The Secret: Tomato Cuttings

Here are the items you need:
A tomato plant
water bottle
water
scrissors/snips/pruners
organic potting soil
plant pots
✂️ Step-by-Step
- Find a healthy sucker (the small shoot between the main stem and a branch)
- Cut it about 4–6 inches long
- Remove the lower leaves
- Place it in water or directly into soil
In just a few days, roots will start forming!
💧 Water vs Soil
- Water method: Easier to monitor root growth
- Soil method: Less transplant shock later
Both work great—choose what fits your style.
🌞 Keep Them Happy
Make sure your cuttings get:
- Bright, indirect sunlight
- Consistent moisture
Before you know it, you’ll have brand new plants ready to grow.
